Alandra Flynn-James
Hi everyone! My name’s Alandra Flynn-James (She/They); I was born on Treaty 4 Territory and am now a proud USask student! Off-campus, you can find me enjoying local music and food, playing games with friends, or walking around Broadway with my cats, Benny & Holly, in their stroller. On campus, I’m a Psychology Sun, Anthropology Moon, and Women’s Gender Studies Rising — so if that tells you anything, it’s that I’d love to get to know you and your big three! People are intersectional, but despite our different experiences that brought us here, I believe we all need community. The Women’s Centre is the perfect place to make friends who empower you, express your feelings & beliefs, or just hang out! I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of my favourite people there, and I know you will too. I hope you decide to spend some time at the Women’s Centre this year, and we can’t wait to meet you!
About
The Women’s Centre is a safe, dynamic, comfortable, positive space to organize around feminism and activism. It serves as a resource and information centre, with a large library of feminist titles. There’s a lounge to hang out in and meet like-minded people. It is a place of inspiration, enlightenment, and encouragement. We are a pro-choice organization and recognize the strengths of the diverse and vibrant community at the U of S and Saskatoon.
The USSU Women’s Centre takes a vibrant and proactive approach to educating and informing the campus community about issues affecting women. We strive to provide a safe and positive environment to promote equality while recognizing and celebrating differences within our diverse and dynamic community.
