Hello! My name is Sara Islam and my pronouns are she/her. I am currently working towards completing a Bachelors in Kinesiology, having already completed a CPPS degree. Through my academic background in science and kinesiology, I have gained a deep understanding of the ways in which physical and mental health are interconnected, and I am committed to promoting a holistic approach to mental wellness. As an immigrant student with personal experience navigating the complexities of mental health issues, I am passionate about advocating for others who may be struggling with similar challenges. Having faced my own mental health challenges, I understand the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for those who may be struggling. I am dedicated to using my own experiences to help break down barriers and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues. With my unique perspective and academic background, I believe I am well-suited to providing peer support and offering academic resources to all those who need them. I am excited to use my skills and experience to make a positive impact in the lives of students who may be facing mental health challenges, and to help build a more inclusive and supportive community for all.
