The USSU Service Desk serves as the hub for students and the campus community, offering directions, support, and connections to the USSU and key campus services. Additionally, the desk offers a range of services to students and the campus community.

Table Rentals
The USSU offers 15 display spaces in the Arts Tunnel. All spaces are provided with a 6’ table and two chairs. Bookings are made by the day, and you have access to the space from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. All spaces will have access to power and the UofS public Wi-Fi. If you have any questions, please contact us at: tables@ussu.ca or at 306-966-6960.
Notary Services
The USSU offers notary services on a drop-in basis at the USSU Service Desk. This service is free to undergraduate students upon presentation of a valid student card. For non-undergraduate students, the base fee is $30 for 5 pages or fewer; the rate increases by $10 for every additional 5 pages. The USSU kindly requests that appointments be scheduled for any job exceeding 10 pages. Appointments can be made by emailing: notaryservices@ussu.ca
A notary public (or notary or public notary) is a public officer constituted by law to serve the public in non-contentious matters usually concerned with estates, deeds, powers-of-attorney, and foreign and international business. A notary’s main functions are to administer oaths and affirmations, take affidavits and statutory declarations, witness and authenticate the execution of certain classes of documents, take acknowledgments of deeds and other conveyances, protest notes and bills of exchange, provide notice of foreign drafts, prepare marine protests in cases of damage, provide exemplifications and notarial copies, and perform certain other official acts depending on the jurisdiction.
Phone Charging
Students can charge their phones by exchanging a Student ID for a charge block and cord, which can be returned once their device is charged. Students may also leave their phone at the USSU Services Desk to charge.
Arts Tunnel Posters
The USSU approves posters for the Arts Tunnel area. Groups and individuals may post up to 3 posters in the area for 14 days. There is no cost for ratified groups, students, or on-campus groups. Organizations from off-campus will be charged $3 per poster.
Faxing
The USSU Service Desk offers faxing services to the U of S community.
Faxing rates:
Local:  $0.75/page
Long Distance:  $1.25/page
Outside of Canada:  $2.75/page
Bike Repair Kit
Students may sign out a bike repair kit and pump from the USSU desk in exchange for a Student ID. The kit includes basic tools for patching and filling tires and completing basic repairs.
