Amy Remeshylo
Hi there! My name is Amy Remeshylo (she/her) and I am pleased to be the latest USSU Food Centre Coordinator! I am currently completing two degrees at the university: Computer Engineering and Computer Science. When I am not at the school you can expect to find me at a curling rink or relaxing at home, cuddling with my two pet rats.
I have previously worked in personal care, IT, and software development, and am very excited to expand my experience with the Food Centre. I look forward to helping fight food insecurity on campus, using my problem-solving skills to organize events and manage our programs, and meeting new people around the Centre. Whether you are accessing one of our emergency food hampers, picking up fresh food items from our Fresh Market, looking for volunteer options, or just popping in to say hi – thanks for supporting the Food Centre!
About
Established in 2003 by the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union in conjunction with the Saskatoon Food Bank, the USSU Food Centre aims to combat food insecurity affecting students. Student hunger has become increasingly prevalent on campus as a result of rising living and tuition costs with limited support for students.
The Food Centre raises awareness and provides resources, emergency food hampers, and reasonably-priced fresh produce to support students facing food security concerns.
The Food Centre operates in accordance with the USSU Food Centre Policy
