Copyright Notice: Students may sell legally purchased original course materials (such as hardcopy books/textbooks) that they own, and any course notes that students have written or created themselves for which they are the copyright owner of the material therein. Canadian copyright law does not permit the sale of unauthorized copies of copyrighted materials including digital or photocopied textbooks, digital or photocopied articles or chapters, course packs, or course materials created by faculty and instructors, unless permission was obtained from the copyright owner. Each seller of material in the uExchance program is responsible for ensuring they adhere to copyright law.

• Set a fair price — Check similar listings to find a competitive price.
• Keep it updated — Remove your listing once your textbook is sold.
• Communicate clearly — Respond to buyers and arrange exchanges safely.

Find the textbooks you need while keeping your purchase safe.

• Check the listing — Confirm the title, edition, ISBN, and condition before buying.
• Meet in person — Complete transactions in public, well-trafficked locations such as Place Riel.
• Inspect before you pay — Make sure the textbook matches the listing and is in the condition described.
• Avoid sending money in advance — whenever possible, pay only after you’ve received and checked the textbook.
• Watch for scams — Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true or buyers/sellers who pressure you to pay quickly.
• Trust your instincts — If something feels off, don’t complete the transaction.
