Norah Jacob
Hi everyone! My name is Norah Jacob, and I am a third-year psychology student. During the 2025-2026 academic year, I served as Vice-President Academic Affairs for the USSU, where I worked to improve academic transparency, accessibility, and experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students. In this role, I led initiatives to expand the use of Open Educational Resources (OERs), increase undergraduate research opportunities, and advocate for clearer, more student-centred academic policies, including greater transparency in course evaluations and fairer academic hearing processes. Before this, I served for two years on University Students’ Council as the representative for St. Thomas More College. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of student governance and academic policy. I am passionate about working with students and faculty to strengthen the student experience, and I hope to bring to Senate a thoughtful, collaborative perspective grounded in student leadership and advocacy.
